Tamarack’s Learning Centre is a comprehensive library of resources for anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of community engagement. By providing both research and practical knowledge, the Centre is a resource to support the ongoing learning of communities – enhancing their capacity to accomplish their goals with greater ease and impact.  The knowledge that Tamarack, and others involved in community engagement, have generated over the years is shared freely here for anyone wishing to access it. 

The Learning Centre has fulfilled its purpose if communities are made more powerful through learning that has been found here.  The Learning Centre, in turn, is further enriched when communities share knowledge that they have generated thereby enriching our collective understanding and practice of community engagement.  In this way, the Learning Centre fulfills the vision that has guided us since 2003:  to create a fluid, creative system of documenting community building activity and delivering this learning to organizations.

Tamarack’s extensive experience in community engagement and the considerable research we have amassed on the topic are freely shared in the Learning Centre.  The customized knowledge and resources that Tamarack has produced through our Consulting Services are also distilled into aides for action, lesson learned and promising practices that are made available through the Learning Centre.  This creates an organic reservoir of accumulated wisdom to enrich the understanding and practice of community engagement.

The Learning Centre provides communities across Canada and beyond with an opportunity to leverage this accumulated wisdom.  Through a dynamic interplay between research and practical experience, the Learning Centre provides a platform to produce new insights and knowledge that advance the field of community engagement.  Working together – with Tamarack’s Learning Centre as a hub – we are becoming a powerful catalyst for change.
