The Seeking Community in Chaotic Times seminar series seeks to engage participants in a better understanding of the purpose and value of community in their lives and in the lives of those they serve. This series will help community development professionals to better understand the importance of the value of community and its importance in social change strategies. It is also intended to provide inspiration and tips to help participants open themselves up to community, and make a conscious choice as to the kind of community they desire in their lives - to feel more connected to the people they care about including family, friends, neighbours and those they work with.

The Vibrant Communities movement brings organizations, governments, businesses and people with lived experience of poverty together in communities across Canada. Vibrant Communities seminars feature practitioners and policy makers who are working collaboratively and comprehensively to reduce poverty and improve the quality of life of all Canadians. In 2009, learn about the enabling environment that makes poverty reduction possible, the process of working collaboratively and comprehensively, and the substance of reducing poverty comprehensively, including lots of examples and stories from across Canada and beyond.

2010 Communities Collaborating Institute Thought-Leaders Series
The 2010 Communities Collaborating Institute Thought-Leaders seminar series is a special, series created exclusively for people who have registered or expressed an interest in the 2010 CCI. It has been designed to offer an advance opportunity to meet, learn about and engage with the dynamic thought-leaders who will be joining us as part of this unique learning community. It is intended to offer inspiration and help participants become more familiar with the ideas and perspectives of our thought-leaders. It also provides an opportunity to become more familiar with each thought-leaders work in advance of meeting them face-to-face in Kitchener in September 2010.
